im not the most experienced with this sorta stuff but to mee the rebound is ok if you push it down it returns not too quick n it never tries to buck me off n keeps good traction, n yea the back end is bottoming out. its not backing the spring off i need to do i need to stiffen it as when i sit on the bike the back end sinks quite far

cheers

Stiffen it up then

Stiffen the shock by turning the two castle nuts on top of the shock, do this when the bike is on its stand. Measure from a point on the swingarm ie. axle to a point higher up on the bike something in a arc movement then take the bike off its stand. Sit on the bike and have a friend retake the measurement ...... you should be looking for a measurment around 90/100mm less.

evo, if your shock is as you describe, its fooked and needs a service. you are wasting your time trying to adjust it, just get it sent off to a good suspension guy and get it repaired and serviced.
